Information, media reading responses and continuous writing - Reading: summary skills, reading for meaning, understanding writers’ methods. Writing: to inform, explain, describe.

Adult Literacy Test
In Year 10 or 11, students will take an Adult Literacy examination. This will be an on-line test, and if the students are successful, they achieve a Level 2 qualification, which is the equivalent of half a GCSE at grade C. Students can find practice papers online.
