Welcome to PHSE

Welcome to PHSE & Citizenship at The Polesworth School. This area of the curriculum is designed to provide provision for the personal and social development of our students.

It is contained in the basic ethos of the school and provided across the curriculum, as well as planned Tutorial programme. In the programme we aim to provide a broad and balanced programme in accordance with the legal guidelines directed from the QCA Curriculum guide.

The needs of pupils within the school and their community is a priority. We try to create a positive and supportive environment for our students so they have the opportunity to develop their individual skills and talents.

The programme falls across three Key Stage areas. In addition to the contribution all subjects make to delivering the subject. External visitors with differing expertise, contribute to providing a balanced and interesting and diverse programme. This is done through Off-Time Table days.

 All of these organisations have helped us to meet the needs of our young people. Looking at the pressures they face now and in the future, and the support there is available to them as they go through life.
